High quality dust extracted brightly coloured wheat straw is chopped into lengths thereby creating a soft absorbent and very clean bedding.
Unlike conventional straw, once the straw has been chopped it becomes very absorbent, and therefore produces a warmer and softer option to other bedding materials.
This is a comfortable, fairly fluffy bedding. Most equines will not attempt to eat it. It’s also semi-absorbant, so it gets heavy and hard to handle when wet. Make sure the straw is free of dust and mold.

Straw is the traditional bedding for horses, partly because it provides quality bedding and partly because historically it was a cheap by-product of grain production. It's advantages include:
- It is very comfortable for horses, both physically and mentally.
- In many areas, it is cheaper than many of the alternatives.
- It is also a safe type of bedding, except for the usual general bedding issues.
Due to considerable volume that is packaged within the conveniently sized bales this offers a great alternative to other market rivals as costs can be kept to a minimum whilst at the same time using a very high quality clean bedding.
Chopped wheat and oilseed rape straw is packaged in 20kg bags and transported into pallets with 30-33 bags in it.
For higher urine absorption the chopped and bagged straw contains less than 20% humidity. We guarantee the quality of chopped straw!!!
